The one thing you don't mention is if all 3 sites are connected via VPN somehow. Install Hyper Backup Vault on Synology Site 2.Install Hyper Backup Vault on Synology Site 1.Here is what I would do (as has been mentioned above). Create Hyper Backup task from Synology Site 3 to Synology Site 2 (be sure to encrypt the connection and backup).Create Hyper Backup task from Synology Site 3 to Synology Site 1 (be sure to encrypt the connection and backup).Install Hyper Backup on Synology Site 3. To backup Site 1 to Site 2 and vice versa, you have a couple options. If you have site-to-site VPN between Site 1 and Site 2 then use the Veeam Backup Copy job to copy the backup from one site to the other. If you do NOT have a site-to-site VPN between Site 1 and Site 2, then you can use Hyper Backup to copy the Veeam Repository from Site 1 to Site 2 and vice versa. To do this, you'll need to have installed Hyper Backup and Hyper Backup Vault on both Site 1 Synology and Site 2 Synology. You cannot use the Quickconnect ID to allow a Synology device to see other Synology devices.I know this is an older post, but we just went through a similar setup here and I thought I'd share a few of the murkier details we learned along the way. Hyperbackup and HB Vault require IP addresses or host names. We have multiple external static IP's and used one to create a port forward/SNAT to the remote device. (Hyperbackup points to the exernal IP which then points port 6281 to the internal IP of the device on the remote network."HyperBackup" needs to be running on the source Synology."Hyper Backup Vault" needs to be running on the target Synology. If you have a device that is both a source and target (as in the case the OP outlined), you will need both running on each device.If you have a lot of data to backup, it is best to bring the remote/target device onsite to seed the initial backup. ![]() Then move it to the remote location and reconfigure the target's IP's and reconfigure the source to point to the external IP's.
